FAQ

What ages do you accept?

Students aged 13 – 16 (Grades 8 – 10) who demonstrate academic readiness and motivation.

How long is the exchange?

Our standard program runs 10 – 12 weeks (one academic term). Semester-long and summer-only tracks are available.

Do students need prior language skills?

A basic foundation in the target language is helpful. Our pre-departure sprint quickly bridges any gaps.

How do you choose host families?

Each family passes a police background check, home inspection, and multi-stage interview series. We also facilitate several video calls so both families feel at ease before the exchange.

What support does my child have day to day?

Students receive weekly coordinator check-ins plus a 24 / 7 emergency line. Minor issues (e.g., homesickness, lost bus card) are solved locally; parents are kept informed in real time.

What does the program fee include?

Flights, visa processing, insurance, language coaching, cultural excursions, and administrative support are bundled for transparency. We’ll send a detailed breakdown on request.

Can entire classes participate?

Yes—ViaB offers group exchanges (“one class for one class”) where cohorts swap campuses, curricula, and host families simultaneously.
